Our Methodology

Belk Model uses evidence-based practice to execute meaningful services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  An emphasis is placed on human development and being able to apply supports and interventions for our individuals that are congruent with their developmental level and cognitive abilities.

Our Training

Our team has the educational background, robust training as well as ongoing clinical supervision to provide foundational knowledge about human development and how this is oftentimes interrupted for individuals with I/DD and adverse experiences  Our trauma-informed services are developed such that behavioral expectations are in alignment with the individual’s lived life experiences with special consideration given to their disability.

Our Experience

Belk Model has over 40 combined years of experience working with some of the most challenging clients in the state. We are driven to change the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Colorado by safely integrating them into their communities with the level of support unique to them.
